Milk + Cookies Festival 2027 | Johannesburg | Sunday 31 January 2027
Never the same sound. Always the same feeling.
Joburg, Milk + Cookies is back for year three. On Sunday 31 January 2027, the festival returns to Nasrec Expo Centre.
Milk + Cookies started in Atlanta with a simple belief: different sounds belong together. From Kaytranada to Gunna to Olivia Dean, it’s never been about one genre. It’s about the people who show up for all of it.
Expect a day built around the music and everything that comes with it: the food, the fashion, the conversations and the people you meet along the way. The festival is part of Milk + Cookies Music Week, a multi-day programme of panels, workshops, pop-ups and parties.
Line-up: Headlined by Olivia Dean, with Elaine, Zee Nxumalo, Chelsea Sloan and Jade T. More acts to be announced.
About the headliner
Olivia Dean is one of the most compelling voices in music right now. Her second album, The Art of Loving, earned her a Grammy for Best New Artist and four BRIT Awards, including British Artist of the Year, and “Man I Need” became one of the biggest songs of 2026. She’s since sold out six nights at The O2 in London and four at Madison Square Garden in New York. This January, Joburg gets its turn.
Also on the bill
Elaine, the Pretoria-born R&B singer behind the multi-platinum “You’re the One.” Zee Nxumalo, one of the defining voices of South Africa’s new generation. Chelsea Sloan, the Hanover Park DJ who took her Amapiano-rooted sets all the way to Grammy week in LA. And Jade T, a DJ who’s played to crowds around the world. Four very different sounds, one dance floor.
